NURSERY & RECEPTION PLAY AREA
Can we please remind everyone that our Nursery & Reception play area is not to be used as a shortcut through to the main school yard for parents/carers dropping off or collecting children. As you can appreciate there are already a lot of Nursery and Reception parents needing to come and go in here and there just isn't the space for everyone. Could parents/carers also remember that the children should not be using the outdoor equipment before 9.00am and after 3.00pm for health and safety reasons. Thank you for your cooperation in both of these matters.
DECORATED EGG COMPETITION
Please don't forget, we are holding our annual egg decorating competition again this year. There will be prizes for each class in the categories of child's own work and family contribution. Please make sure your child's name and which category it is to be entered into, is clearly stated. Please bring all entries into school on Monday 11th April 2011. So get cracking!
EASTER FAIR
Remember - we are holding our Easter Fair on Wednesday 13th March 2011 from 1.00pm. Tickets cost £1.50 per child which entitles them to crisps & juice plus 1 turn on each of the following: 'Sweets in jar', 'Hook a Duck', 'Can the Cans' and 'Hoopla'. There will also be lots more activities to join in with for an extra charge. Adults are free. Please note children can only attend this event if accompanied by an adult - unaccompanied children will stay in a classroom with members of staff. Tickets will be distributed on the day so please send the money in a named envelope to reserve one now! Younger siblings may also buy tickets if they would like to join in the fun!
EASTER FAIR APPEAL
We are appealing for prizes etc; to use at the fair. We really need adult raffle prizes, chocolate tombola prizes, cakes for the cake stall (on the day please) and we also need bottles of wine for our water or wine table. If anyone has anything they could donate for any of these stalls please send them into school with your child. Thank you very much for your support.
OUR ROYAL WEDDING CELEBRATION
We are holding our own 'Royal Wedding' on Friday 15th April 2011. We are having a day full of different activities. For the day children are asked to come to school dressed for a wedding - this is not an ordinary wear anything non-uniform day. We would really appreciate it if the children came to school smartly dressed. There is no charge for this day. We would also appreciate it if every child could bring some party food for lunchtime, as there will be no school dinner this day (dinner money will be £7.80 on Monday 11th April). We are having a 'wedding buffet'! (Could boys please bring savoury food and girls bring sweet.) Last but not least we would like to invite you into school to join in the celebrations. Reception parents are invited to stay at 9.00am to join in with our wedding ceremony, Years 1 & 2 parents are invited to come and watch our procession from 2.15 until 2.30pm and Years 3 & 4 parents are invited to come from 2.35 until 2.50pm. We hope you can provide your child with the clothes and food we have asked for and hope you can come along and join in the fun!
NURSERY ROYAL WEDDING CELEBRATIONS
We would also like our Nursery children to come dressed in their party clothes on Friday 15th April as they will be having a celebration too. Food will be provided by Nursery.
PERFORMING ARTS AFTER SCHOOL CLUB
We are holding a 'Performing Arts' after school club starting on Wednesday 4th May for our Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 children. If your child is interested please click on the link below for more information.

KEEPING UP WITH THE KIDS IN LITERACY
We are hoping to hold some sessions to help you keep up with your child in literacy. During the sessions you will make games, fridge magnets and story sacks in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere where you are never put on the spot or made to feel silly. If you would like to find out more there is a chance to pop into school for a cuppa and a chat on Tuesday 10th May 2011 at 2.15pm in our school hall. We hope to see you there.
HEALTHY TUCK SHOP
There will be no healthy tuck shop next Friday, 15th April due to our Royal wedding celebrations.
