TRIM TRAIL SAFETY
Can we remind parents that it is their responsibility to supervise children prior to 8.50am when doors open and from 3.00pm when children are 'handed over' by the class teacher. Children are NOT permitted to play on the Trim Trail or equipment in the small yard at these times as school cannot take any liability for accidents or injury (this includes younger brothers and sisters). We would greatly appreciate your support in this matter.

WHEELY WEDNESDAYS
Congratulations to all the children who cycled to school on Wednesday. 24 children collected a raffle ticket from Mrs Mallin and are now entered into the prize draw to be drawn at the end of half term. We hope to see more entries next week!

WORLD'S BIGGEST COFFEE MORNING
Next Friday, 24th September, is 'Macmillan Cancer Support's World's Biggest Coffee Morning' and we are holding our own event at 2.00pm on this day. We invite you to come along with your friends/family and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and a cake before collecting your child from school at 3.00pm. All proceeds will go to Macmillan Cancer Support. Any cake donations would also be welcome, please hand these to a member of staff in the morning. We hope to see you there!

KEEPING UP WITH THE KIDS - NUMERACY
Following the success of our literacy course last year we are holding a numeracy course for all parents/carers of children in our school on Thursday afternoon beginning on 30th September from 1.15 - 2.45pm. (Unfortunately there is no crèche available this time). Anyone who is interested is invited to come along on Thursday 23rd September at 2.30pm for more information. Please inform the school office if you will be there. Thank you.

HEALTHY PACKED LUNCHES
Could we remind parents that we encourage our children to lead a healthy life and this includes what they eat therefore we do not allow fizzy drinks or sweets in lunch boxes. We hope you will support us in keeping your children as healthy as possible. Anyone who may need some healthy ideas for packed lunches is welcome to pick up a leaflet from our 'Information for Families' stand in the main reception area.

BOOK FAIR SAVINGS SCHEME
We will be holding a book fair at the end of November and to help you and your child benefit from this we are running a saving scheme where your child can bring money into school each week and receive a sticker to stick on their card, each sticker is worth 20p so the amount saved can be anything from 20p per week. Why not start early for Christmas and save now to buy books as gifts! Don't forget we receive commission for our school funds so the more you save and spend, the more it helps us buy new resources. If you and your child would like to take part in the scheme please call at the school office for more information. If you have already begun saving, don't forget to keep it up!
