ATTENDANCE & PUNCTUALITY
Can we please remind parents of the importance of children arriving at school before 9.00am. As soon as the bell rings our registers are taken and learning begins, if your child is late they could miss out on some very important areas of their learning. We will monitor late arrivals and inform our Education Welfare Officer if we become concerned about any child. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.

WHEELY WEDNESDAYS
Congratulations to all the children who cycled to school on Wednesday. This week 32 children (8 more than last week!) collected a raffle ticket from Mrs Mallin and are now entered into the prize draw to be drawn at the end of half term. We hope to see even more entries next week!
KEEPING UP WITH THE KIDS IN NUMERACY
There are still a few places left for this course which begins on Thursday 30th September from 1.15 - 2.45pm here in school for 8 weeks. If anyone is interested please contact the school office.
DIARY OF EVENTS
We have now compiled a 'Diary of Events' for this term which was attached to our newsletter last week. Spare copies are available from the school office if you have not received one.
NURSEY & RECEPTION OUTDOOR PLAY
Our Nursery and Reception children do a lot of their learning outside and as the weather is changing for the worse could you please make sure children have warm waterproof coats and wellies with them every day. Thank you.
HEAD LICE
Could we please stress the importance of checking your child's hair regularly for head lice and treating anything found immediately. This is an ongoing problem in all schools but with your cooperation we can hopefully limit the number of cases at Stead Lane. Thank you.
PLAY TIME
Could we remind parents to send children to school with a coat, sometimes it is warm in the morning but the weather changes and we try to play outside unless the weather is extremely bad. Thank you.
