MOVING ON...
As you know, this is my last term at Stead Lane First School. It has been a privilege and an honor to be Headteacher of such a fine school! Every day has been different and I have thoroughy enjoyed working with your children and getting to know you all. I believe Stead Lane First School offers an exceptional level of care and provides a first class education for all learners in an environment of creativity and fun! My sole reason for moving on was because of the new proposed academy for Bedlington which would have removed my role next year. Typically this project is unlikely to go ahead now which I believe is a good thing for Stead Lane First School and the local community. I am confident that with your support, Mrs Mallin, the newly appointed Acting Headteacher, will continue to drive the school forward in the next chapter of its development.

Best wishes for the future,

Andy Jones
