CHALLENGER TREAT
Our Challenger house won last term's merit race and as their reward are going to Bounce Soft Play area in Blyth on Friday 5th February 2010. If your child is in Challenger they should have received a letter with a reply slip for you to give permission for them to go. If you have not already done so, could you please complete and return the slip as soon as possible. If your child is in Challenger and has not received a letter please call at the school office. FATHER'S CHALLENGE
Stead Lane First School are hosting a Father's Challenge afternoon where fathers are invited to come into our school and work with their child on a fun activity! The afternoon is to be held on Friday 5th February 2010 from 1.00 - 3.00pm in our school hall. Please come along and join in the fun!
VALENTINE'S DISCO
We are holding a Valentine's Disco on Tuesday 9th February from 5.30 - 7.00pm. Staff will be on duty during this event so adults do not need to stay with children. Tickets cost £1.50 and are available from the school office from Monday 1st February. Hot dogs and a tuck shop will be available on the night.

FLORA COOKING WITH SCHOOLS TOKENS
We are once again collecting tokens from Flora products to buy cooking equipment for our school. Please either register your tokens online or hand them into school and we will do the rest. Thank you.
'TOP OF THE CLASS' BULBS
Our school is taking part in the 'Top of the Class' scheme to try and boost our school funds. For every pack of bulbs you buy, school gets a donation so please browse through the leaflet sent out last week and send any orders and payment into school before Friday 12th February 2010. Thank you.
