WELCOME BACK
Welcome back to a new school year. I hope you've had an enjoyable holiday, despite the weather! It's been great to see the children back at school this week in their smart new uniform - both parents and children who I have spoken to seem to like the new design. If you would like to order any additional new uniform, all items available are on display in the entrance of school and orders can be placed, as usual, with Mrs. Burn. It promises to be another action packed term so please make a note of the dates on our 'Events Diary', some of which are to be confirmed (TBC).

HEALTHY TUCK SHOP
Our 'Healthy Tuck Shop' will begin again next Friday. We will be offering the children toast and smoothies each costing 20p. The children must hand their 20p to the member of staff in their classroom as soon as they come into school and tokens will be distributed to them prior to break time (with the exception of Reception who receive theirs at a time convenient to the timetable for the day). The children will be limited to a maximum of 3 tokens each so please do not send any more than 60p. Thank you.

P.E. DAYS
Reception - Monday & Thursday
Year 1 - Tuesday & Wednesday
Year 2 - Wednesday & Friday
Year 3 - Wednesday & Thursday
Year 4 - Tuesday & Thursday
Please make sure your child has their P.E. kit in school on these days. Thank you.

SAD LOSS
It is with great sadness that we inform you that during the summer holidays our governor, Bill Ashbridge passed away. Mr Ashbridge worked tirelessly over the years on behalf of the school and he will be a great miss. Donations are being collected in his memory within school to go to the haematology unit at Wansbeck Hospital, anyone wishing to donate please hand it to Mrs Burn in the school office. Thank you.

TRIM TRAIL SAFETY
Can we remind parents that it is their responsibility to supervise children prior to 8.50am when doors open and from 3.00pm when children are 'handed over' by the class teacher. Children are NOT permitted to play on the Trim Trail equipment at these times as school cannot take any liability for accidents or injury (this includes younger brothers and sisters). We would greatly appreciate your support in this matter.

FOOD BAGS
We are once again offering you the chance to purchase fresh food bags through our school. Copies of the leaflet outlining what is on offer are available from the main school reception area. If you would like to purchase any of the bags please complete the reply slip and return it and your payment to school on or before Tuesday.
