ENTERPRISE WEEK SUCCESS
We would like to thank Wansbeck Education Enterprise Network (WEEN) for their help and support, which has made our Enterprise week such a success. Working on the theme 'What would you like to be when you grow up?', the children have been on a number of visits and taken part in various enterprise workshops at school. Watch the local newspapers, as there has been considerable press interest in our activities this week!
SAD NEWS
It brings us great sadness to inform you of the death of Mr. Scott, a previous Headteacher of our school. Our thoughts are with his family at this time.
YEAR 4 VISIT TO GREAT NORTH MUSEUM-HANCOCK
On Monday 8th June 2009 our Year 4 children will be visiting the newly opened Great North Museum - Hancock. If you have not already done so please return the consent form on Monday as your child will be unable to attend the visit without it. Spare copies are available from the school office. Thank you.
TRINITY YOUTH DISCO
Trinity Youth Association have organised a disco to be held on Wednesday 10th June from 5.00 - 6.30pm. Tickets for this event will cost £1.50 and are available through our school. If your child is interested please call at the school office with your payment where you will be asked to complete a consent form and receive more information. Please act quickly as places are limited!
FIRE FIGHTERS CHARITY FUNDRAISER
We are supporting the 'Fire Fighters Charity' while raising money for our school by taking part in a recycling scheme. As you bring your children to school on Thursday 11th June there will be a van parked in the main school driveway waiting for your items to be recycled. We ask that you put any unwanted clean, dry clothing, sheets, curtains and towels into one bag and shoes, belts and handbags into another then bring them to school with you on this day. On your way into the school grounds you can then load them into the van - you get tidier cupboards, the 'Fire Fighters Charity' receives a donation and so do our school! So please clean out those cupboards! (Please note that because of lack of storage space, school cannot accept any bags before this date). Thank you.
STARS IN THEIR EYES
We are once again holding our 'Stars in their Eyes' event on Tuesday 14th July 2009. If your child wishes to audition, these will be held during the afternoon of Monday 15th June so please fill in a consent form (available from the school office). Thank you.
YEAR 2 VISIT TO ST MARY'S LIGHTHOUSE
We have arranged for our Year 2 children to visit St Mary's Lighthouse on Friday 19th June 2009. Please sign and return your consent form along with your payment as soon as possible. Thank you.
YEAR 4 - MARVELLOUS MATHS & SUPER SCIENCE WORKSHOP
Our Year 4 children have been given a great opportunity to attend this workshop at Ashington Leisure Centre on Friday 19th June 2009. Please pick up a letter from the office for more information.
SOFT PLAY QUESTIONNAIRE
