CHRISTMAS FAIR & DISCO
It is our annual Christmas Fair & Disco tonight. If you have not already purchased your ticket, you may pay on the door. The fun starts at 5.00pm!
VISIT TO NORTHERN STAGE
Just a reminder for the parents who paid for their child to attend the Christmas performance of Hansel & Gretel at the Northern Stage, the visit is on Wednesday 10th December. School uniform must be worn for easy identification. The bus will leave school at 9.10am and return in time for lunch.
NURSERY SING-A-LONGS
Nursery are holding their Sing-a-longs on Friday 12th December at 10.30am for morning children and 2.00pm for afternoon children. All family members are welcome to attend.
CHRISTMAS PERFORMANCES
Our main school children will hold their Christmas performances on Thursday 11th December at 1.00pm and Friday 12th December at 10.00am. PLEASE NOTE: Tickets are needed for both performances so please apply for tickets at the school office. Thank you.
CHRISTMAS PARTIES
The class Christmas parties are to be held as follows:
Nursery & Reception - Monday 15th December (NO MORNING NURSERY SESSION ON THIS DAY – ALL CHILDREN TO ATTEND IN THE AFTERNOON PLEASE)
Years 1 & 2 - Tuesday 16th December
Years 3 & 4 - Thursday 18th December
School will provide a drink of juice for all children, could parents please provide some food. So we have a variety, could boys please bring savoury items and girls bring sweet except Nursery who will be informed by Mrs Mallin or Mrs Athey of what to bring. Thank you.
Children are allowed to come to school in their party clothes on those days or they can bring them to change into.
RECEPTION VISIT TO WHITEHOUSE FARM

WELLIES APPEAL
Nursery and Reception are desperate for spare wellies for the children who do not bring their own, if any child in school has outgrown their wellies and they are sizes 6 – 1, it would be greatly appreciated if you hand them in for use by our Foundation Stage children. Thank you.
MISSING SCHOOL JUMPER
Could parents please check their child’s school jumpers tonight as a named one from Reception has been lost. If your child has accidentally taken the wrong one home, please return it as soon as possible. Thank you.
SEVERE WEATHER CONDITIONS
Northumberland County Council have sent out the following information for parents/carers with children in schools in Northumberland:
During periods of severe weather there may be school closures. In these circumstances do you know what to do? Here are some tips:
• Listen to the Local Radio Stations – Radio Newcastle 95.4fm, Century 100-102fm, Metro 97.1fm, Radio Borders 102.3fm & Magic 1152 am
• Go to the Northumberland County Council Website – www.northumberland.gov.uk The County Council will continuously update news on the front page
• Ring the County Council Schools helpline – 01670 534164 (press 2)
A recorded message will give up-to-date information on school/road closures as we receive it
In extreme cases a school may have to close during the day due to severe weather and your child will be sent home early. Do you have a procedure in place for the care of your child until you arrive home? You could:home? You could:-
• Make arrangements with a relative or close friend to care for your child until you are able to get home.
• Inform the school and transport provider of these arrangements as it may be neccessary for your child to seek alternative transportation from school
• Make sure the School and Transport provider have an “In Case of Emergency” contact telephone number
• Above all, make sure your child is aware of the arrangements.
