WOW SCHEME
This year we are taking part in an initiative aimed at encouraging children to walk to school at least once a week. The scheme is called ‘Walk on Wednesdays’ and starts next Wednesday, 12th November.
Northumberland County Council is offering the chance for pupils to take part in a competition and win some fantastic prizes eg; bikes, gift vouchers and wristbands. All you have to do is ‘Walk to School on Wednesdays!’

YEAR 4 KWIK CRICKET FESTIVAL

EARLY RISER’S FOOTBALL CLUB
There will be an early riser’s football club held at school on Thursday mornings. Any child from Years 2, 3 or 4 who is interested needs to click on the link below and return the reply slip.

TRIM TRAIL
As the children are now able to use the trim trail, we suggest that each child brings some old footwear into school in a named bag, to allow them to change at play times so their school shoes are not ruined.
LIFE EDUCATION CENTRES
The Life Education Centre bus will be at our school on Tuesday 18th November and would like to invite parents/carers to attend a session at 2.30pm. This is to give you the opportunity to find out more about the Health Education programmes that Life Education Centres deliver and which your child will be receiving.
CHILDREN IN NEED
Friday 14th November is the annual ‘Children in Need’ appeal. Our school council have decided that it would be fun to come to school in our PYJAMA’S and donate 50p or £1.00 or more to this worthy cause! (Children may bring their slippers to wear around school but must have sensible shoes to wear for playtimes.)
There will also be a bring and buy style toy sale where children can bring good condition toys in for our sale and can also bring money to buy new ones. All proceeds will go to the ‘Children in Need’ appeal. (If bringing toys for our sale, please bring them on Friday morning as we have no where to store them.)
PLEASE NOTE: YEAR 4 will have swimming so please bring a tracksuit to change into as they cannot go to the sports centre in their pyjamas! Thank you.
SHOE BOX APPEAL
Just a reminder that all shoe boxes will be collected from our school on Monday 24th November so please make sure we have them before this date. Thank you.
