OFSTED INSPECTION
We have just been informed that our school will be inspected by Ofsted on 23rd and 24th September. An important aspect of the inspection will be views of parents and children about our school. We have a letter for parents which Ofsted have asked us to distribute and a questionnaire for parents to fill in. If you have not already received your copy please call at the school office. TERM OVERVIEW
We have copies of your child’s term overview which we hope will give you an insight into what your child will be learning about this term. (Unfortunately due to staff illness, we do not have a copy of Year 1 overview. We will forward this to you as soon as possible). Please call at the office if you have not already received this.
NURSERY & RECEPTION
From September 08 the children in Nursery and Reception will be following a new curriculum (EYFS). This will mean that the children will be spending more time outdoors (in various weather conditions). We do have some supplies of waterproof clothing but it would be much appreciated if all children could be provided with warm, waterproof outdoor clothing and a supply of spare clothes (particularly socks and trousers). Thank you for your co-operation.

AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS
We have various clubs running this term for our children. Please call at the office for a letter which must be completed and returned to school as soon as possible if your child is interested.
KS2 KINGSWOOD RESIDENTIAL VISIT 2009
Following the success of our residential last term, we are proposing a return visit to Dukeshouse Wood Centre, Hexham, next summer. By booking early, I’ve secured another excellent deal for our children in Years 3 & 4. Please see a member of staff for more details.
LOST REVERSIBLE SCHOOL JACKET
A child in school has lost their reversible school jacket. On the back of the jacket, in the silver triangle, it has the initials RLH. Please check your child’s jacket incase they have picked the wrong one up by mistake. If anyone finds it please hand it in to a member of staff. Thank you.
BAG2SCHOOL COLLECTION
Last year we held a bag2school collection to raise money for school funds. We are holding one next week so please obtain a bag from the office which you can fill with unwanted items such as clothing, bedding, curtains, soft toys, shoes, belts and handbags (everyday bin bags can also be used if needed). All filled bags need to be brought to school on the morning of Friday 26th September, before 10.00am, and placed in the designated area next to the school car park. Unfortunately school does not have space to store any bags brought before this date. Thank you for your support.
NESTLE BOX TOPS FOR SCHOOLS
We are once again collecting the tops from Nestle products, please send them in to school with your child. Thank you for your support.

Please keep collecting your codes from the inners of flora tubs. You can then go online to redeem your voucher or bring it into school where we will be happy to do it for you.
