For parents of children going to Kingswood, please find below some information which we hope you will find useful.
Transport
We depart from school on Friday 20th June at 1.30pm. Children may bring their bags to school in the morning at 9 o’clock and leave them in the library or you can bring them down for them at 1.00pm. We will arrive back on Sunday 22nd June at approximately 2.00pm.
Clothing
Children do not have to wear their uniform for school on Friday but please make sure the clothes they are wearing are comfortable for travelling in.
Kit List
Please find below a recommended kit list suggested by the centre:
• 1 Towel
• Toilet Bag containing toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, flannel, shampoo, hairbrush etc;
• Night clothes
• Socks and underwear
• Shorts
• T-shirts and jumpers
• Sweatshirt
• Trousers/jeans and tracksuit bottoms
• Waterproof jacket (and trousers if you have them)
• Suncream (we may need it!)
• Trainers (2 pairs if you have them)
• Plastic bag for dirty clothes
• Casual clothes for night time activities
Please pack old clothes as the children will get dirty doing some of the activities.
Medication
If your child requires medication of any kind while they are away you must fill in a medication form (available from Mrs. Burn). These forms should be handed to Mr. Jones. The medication may be travel tablets, inhalers, prescribed medicines etc;
Spending Money
Children are allowed to take a maximum of £10 spending money in a named purse or wallet.
Valuables
Electronic games and mobile phones are not covered by insurance, so we recommend they are left at home, children are discouraged from ringing home as this can be unsettling. Children may bring a camera (preferably disposable) however they must take personal responsibility for this and bring at their own risk!
