REWARDING GOOD BEHAVIOUR
This half term we have updated our whole school behaviour policy (copies available from the school office). Displayed in each classroom is a set of “Golden Rules”.
Our Golden Rules
We are gentle | We do not hurt anybody
We are kind and helpful | We do not hurt the feelings of others
We work hard | We do not waste our own or others’ time
We look after property | We do not waste or damage things
We listen to people | We do not interrupt
We are honest | We do not cover up the truth
Children who follow our rules will be rewarded by a free choice of activity for 45 minutes on a Friday afternoon which will be called ‘Golden Time’. Children who choose not to follow our rules, despite repeated warnings from staff, will miss a proportion of Golden time and be supervised by the head teacher. Staff and children are very enthusiastic about this new system and we are grateful for your continued support.
