WATER BOTTLES
It is the school’s policy that all children have access to water in the classroom at all times during the day.
As part of our push to become a more Healthy School we have purchased a water bottle for every child in main school.
The bottles should be taken home every night, washed, refilled with water and returned to school the next day.
Bottles should not be refilled with juice – they are for water only.
If your child has milk they will continue to also have their milk as usual.
If a bottle is lost – you may purchase a replacement at a cost of £1.00.
SAFETY
It has been brought to our attention that children are being brought into the school yard, then left to wait unaccompanied until the doors open. As there are no staff members on duty in the yard, in the mornings, we ask that you wait with your child until the doors are open and see them safely into school.
PUNCTUALITY
Could you please ensure that your child is in school before the bell goes at 9am and collected promptly at 3pm, so as not to cause them any unnecessary distress. Thank you.
CYCLING CLUB
For those children who were chosen to attend cycling club, the club will begin again on Monday 28th January from 3.00 – 4.00 pm. Children will be working indoors but still need their bikes.
BAG 2 SCHOOL SCHEME
Our school is to take part in the Bag 2 School scheme. Attached to this newsletter is your collection bag which gives details of what items to include. Our school funds benefit from the weight of our collection, so please clean out those cupboards!!
Unfortunately, due to lack of storage space and for health and safety reasons, the bags cannot be returned to school until the date of the collection which is Tuesday 5th February 2008. On this day there will be an area in the main car park where you can leave your bags, please do not hand them to staff in school.
YEAR 4 TRIP TO RISING SUN COUNTRY PARK
We have arranged for Year 4 to visit Rising Sun Country Park on Monday 4th February 2008. Please see attached letter.
YEAR 3 TRIP TO BELSAY HALL
Year 3 have a trip planned for Monday 11th February 2008. Please see the letter attached.
YEAR 4 FAMILY ACTIVITY MORNING
Unfortunately the date of the Year 4 Family Activity Morning is to be changed and will not be held on Thursday 31st January as printed on our newsletter. We apologise for any inconvenience caused. The new date for the event is Wednesday 6th February at 10.00am.
