Welcome to Stead Lane First School
I would personally like to welcome you to our website, which I hope you will find both informative and entertaining. By exploring the site I hope you gleam a flavor of our rich and vibrant school. At Stead Lane our school motto "Believing - Enjoying - Achieving" underpins all that we do;
Believing - because we want our children to have high aspirations and the confidence and belief in themselves that with hard work and determination anything is possible.
Enjoying - because at the heart of education and life, should be fun! If children enjoy their learning and find satisfaction in the projects they undertake, they are more likely to develop a thirst for knowledge and desire for life-long learning.
Achieving - so that our children experience success and develop the knowledge and more importantly, the transferable skills that will equip them for the rapidly changing world in which they live.
By regularly visiting our site you can keep up to date with events and activities happening at school, be it sporting achievements, photos from class visits or a news update from our active School Council. The site will be regularly updated and I encourage you to add your comments so we can enter into a genuine dialogue using this latest web technology. So please add this site to your “favourites” list and we hope to see you again soon!

Spring Fair
We are holding our Spring Fair on Wednesday 31st March 2010 from 1.00 - 3.00pm, this is a family event and we ask that you accompany your child. We have various events for all of the family. Tickets cost £1.50 per child (adults free) and this includes juice, crisps and a turn on a number of our activities, extra attractions will also be available at a small charge. Please note: only children who purchase a ticket and have an accompanying adult will be allowed to enjoy the fair - unfortunately children without an adult will stay in class and not take any part. We hope to see you all there.
